Elena Besussi
is a Teaching Fellow in Plan Making at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London. She does research and teaching on the urban development process, state, capitalism, localism, and neighborhood planning. Her PhD thesis considers local government practices in the management of public property assets and discusses their consequences, on a theoretical level, for current interpretations of urban politics and, on a practical level, for questions of distributional justice expressed in terms of levels and spatial distribution of public service provision.
