Barbara Schönig
geboren 1974, Professorin für Stadtplanung und Direktorin des Institutes für Europäische Urbanistik an der Bauhaus Universität Weimar, studierte 1994 bis 2002 Neuere deutsche Literatur und Kunstgeschichte an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, der TU Berlin sowie der Ohio State University, studierte parallel 1997 bis 2004 Stadt- und Regionalplanung an der TU Berlin, 2009 Promotion, 2009 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der TU Darmstadt.
is Professor for Urban Planning at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (since 2012) and Director of the Institute for European Urban Studies at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (since 2013). She holds an MA in German Literature and History of Art and a Diplom in Urban and Regional Planning. She received her PhD at TU Berlin. She taught at the chair of Sociology of Architecture and Planning at TU Berlin (2002-2009) and at the chair of Spatial and Infrastructure Planning at TU Darmstadt (2009-2011).
