Yvonne Hardt

Tänzerin, Choreografin und Tanzwissenschaftlerin. Sie ist Professorin für Angewandte Tanzwissenschaft und Choreografie an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Sie lehrte u. a. an der Freien Universität Berlin und war Assistant Professor am Department of Theater, Dance and Performance Studies der University of California in Berkeley. Ihr Interesse gilt der Vermittlung choreografischer Verfahren ebenso wie der methodologischen Weiterentwicklung der Tanzwissenschaft als interdisziplinäre Wissenschaft, insbesondere historiografischen Methoden an der Schnittstelle von Theorie und Praxis. Zudem leitete sie von 1997 bis 2007 ihre eigene Tanzkompanie BodyAttacksWord. Sie ist Autorin von „Politische Körper“ (Münster 2004) und Mitherausgeberin u. a. von „Choreographie und Institution“ (Bielefeld 2011) und „Choreographie – Medien – Gender“ (Zürich 2013).

is a dancer, choreographer and dance scholar. She is a professor of applied theatre studies and choreography at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. She has also taught at the Freie Universität Berlin (Independent University of Berlin) in addition to serving as assistant professor in the Department of Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies at the University of California in Berkeley. Her focus is on conveying choreographic procedures as well as the methodological development of dance as an interdisciplinary subject of study, particularly in terms of historiographic methods at the interface between theory and practice. Additionally, she directed her own dance company BodyAttacksWord from 1997 to 2007. She is the author of “Politische Körper” (Münster 2004) and co-editor of publications such as “Choreographie und Institution” (Bielefeld 2011) and “Choreographie – Medien – Gender” (Zürich 2013).
